The Asiatic softshell turtle, or black-rayed softshell turtle, is a species of softshell turtle in the family Trionychidae. Despite its name, it is not the only softshell turtle in Asia, since most trionychines are Asian. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia (Bali, Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan), Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak), Singapore and southern Thailand (Wikipedia, general species account).
