Dog-faced Water Snake

The Southeast Asian bockadam is a coastal water snake found in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore. It has 23 scale rows at midbody and a mottled belly, and bears live young. It is named after the German zoologist Johann Gottlob Schneider (Reptile Database, general species account).
