Largely restricted to Melanesia in its narrow sense

The coconut lorikeet, also known as the green-naped lorikeet or Swainson's lorikeet, is a parrot. Several species of lorikeets now recognised as distinct were once lumped together under this name, and together they form the rainbow lorikeet species complex. As defined today it is largely restricted to Melanesia, so the Singapore listing probably refers to introduced or escaped birds (Wikipedia, general species account).
